Week 20: New Garbage Disposal

With a not so sad heart, we made our way to Home Depot this week for a new garbage disposal. This past week, I hit the switch on the old one and it started, stopped and then nothing. No noise. Not a good sign. Apparently the fuse was blown and it was just never the same afterwards. We made our way to the store and picked out a 2-grinder system that is seriously the quietest disposal you could imagine. I can't even tell when it is grinding food. Fantastic!

This week we re-painted the trim around the garage to match the new shutter color. The paint was old and cracking, flaking and just in miserable shape. The new look is fantastic! Our house is looking so good :)

Week 18: New House Numbers

Our house numbers sign was awful. It was the same color as the shutters and the brass numbers were all tarnished and they were impossible to make out. I repainted the sign with the new red color and got some great nickel numbers from Home Depot to dress it up. Now everyone should be able to see what house this is and found ours with a little less difficulty.

Week 17: Trimming the Bushes

Tyler has always been proud of his yard and landscaping and this year has been no exception. Our yard looks fabulous! Nice and green. This week Tyler spent time in the great outdoors and trimmed up the bushes. The look great! We even have a group of "bonsai" bushes in the back yeard that were started by my parents and have been nursed well afterwards. Curb appeal is a good thing!

Week 16: New Towel Ring

Week 16: New Towel Ring

It was time to finish off the guest bath with a new towel ring for the hand towels. We went with a beach/spa theme for the bathroom and finished off with stainless steel/brushed nickel and white accents. Feels good to have the bathroom complete.
